A Day in The Life + The Slipper You’ll Never Take Off

How do I fit fitness into my daily mom life?

Things are pretty crazy right now between running an online business, running local boot camps, and even more importantly, taking care of my duties as a wife and mom. Right now, I need to make the most of every moment. That means I love anything that has the ability to be adapted to many different functions or activities.

As you know, versatility is a busy mom’s best friend – and slippers that can be worn at home, at the grocery, in the carpool line, etc. is the ultimate in versatility.

When I saw that Isotoner launched a new indoor/outdoor slipper line called Zenz, I knew I’d fall in love. These comfy slippers are both weightless and wearproof and will quickly become the slippers you’ll never want to take off!

Here’s a look at a day in the life, showing you all the places my slippers have taken me.

5:00am: Wake up, grab my coffee & BCAAs and go teach a BeyondFit Boot Camp workout!

5:30am-6am: Get my own workout in… yes, I’m still in my slippers.

6:30-6:45am: Feed myself, my kids, and my dog.

6:00am-7:00am: Help Patrick get out the door for work then spend time in prayer, read my Bible, set my goals for the day, check in on email, social media, etc. (More coffee & BCAAs)

7:30am- 8:00am: Hang out in the carpool line and get both kids off to school. Still in my slippers!

9:00am-11:00am: The usual mom duties: clean, run errands, read stories, play, etc. We are part of a mom’s Bible study group and I love having that for a fun time of fellowship and connecting with other mamas and kiddos. (Note: I’m not kidding when I say, these slippers are perfect for various daily activities, both in home and outdoors!)

11:00am: Lunchtime! Typically I do meal prep before the start of a busy week, so I have something in the fridge to grab, but if not, I’ll stop at the grocery store for a healthy lunch (rotisserie chicken, salad, and some fresh fruit & veggies, etc).

12:00pm-2:00pm: After preschool pick up, I’ll catch up on emails and work related items. Sometimes it works, sometimes…not so much! I’ll also use this afternoon time to throw dinner in the crock pot, clean up the house, etc.

2:00pm-2:30pm: Back to the carpool line for kindergarten pick up…. Still in my slippers! Then home for homework and a snack.

3:00pm- 5:30pm: Dinner is in the crock pot and ready to go, so if it’s nice, we’ll head outside to play or go to the park for a walk. I love even just a 10 minute leisurely walk because it lowers stress hormones and is a way to rest, recover and prepare for my next day’s weight training workout.

5:30pm: Dinner is ready in the crock pot! Use the shredded chicken to fill a low carb wrap, adding veggies, cheese, greek yogurt, or any other toppings of choice for an easy healthy dinner!

6:30pm: Family walk after dinner.  Then it’s time for bath and BED!

7:30pm-8:00pm: Fat loss friendly hot cocoa and start our bed time routine for the boys. We’ll pray, read stories, etc and then Patrick and I will spend the rest of the evening together relaxing once the kids are asleep.

Never before has there been a slipper so comfortable that you would want to wear it EVERYWHERE, EVERY TIME. It’s not just about fashion. It’s about the WEARABLE EXPERIENCE of Zenz that make them one of a kind – powered by revolutionary Everywear (TM) technology (R). Lighter than light, there is no match for Zenz.
