{Fat Burning Workouts} BeyondFit Basics Workout

 

It’s time to get sweaty!

Grab your dumbbells and let’s get going!

This workout will be sure to get your legs burning as well as to provide a well rounded upper body workout that will burn fat and increase your metabolism.

Complete the circuit 3 times then finish with 10 minutes of sprints!

  • Squat/Upright Row: Place feet hip width apart. Bend at knees, sitting hips back (as if hovering over a chair), coming down into squat position. Make sure you can still see your toes past your knees. Dumbbells are in your hands and lower between the knees when in the squat position. Squeeze your buttocks to stand, and as you stand, pull the weights straight up the torso, elbows coming out to the side, until dumbbells are at shoulder height. Return dumbbells to waist level to complete your first rep.
  • Static Sumo Squat/Bicep Curls: Place feet in a wide stance, toes pointing out at a 45 degree angle. Bend at knees and lower to sumo squat position, hips going back as if hovering over a chair. Hold in the down position while completing 8-12 bicep curls. Squeeze buttocks to stand.
  • Weighted Split Squats: Using a chair, coffee table, or couch, place one foot on elevated surface with other foot firmly on floor. Hold weights on your shoulders. Bend the front knee so that thigh comes parallel to floor, while back knee bends down towards floor. Squeeze thigh and buttocks to return to start to complete your first rep. Complete 8-12 on each leg.
  • Lunge/Shoulder Press: Step into a staggered stance. Keep dumbbells at shoulder height. Front knee bends so that thigh comes parallel to floor while back knee bends down towards floor. Squeeze thigh/buttocks to return to start. As you return to start, push weights straight up towards ceiling. This completes your first rep. Complete 8-12 on each leg.
  • Sprints: Sprint as fast as you can for 30 seconds, then recover for 60 seconds. Repeat this for 10 minutes.
