Healthy Pina Colada

By Kate Horney

In my recent search for yummy low carb baking mixes (read more about that here) I also happened to stumble upon some awesome flavored water drink mixes.

Everyone knows that water is vital to our health.

Water helps maximize our physical performance, affects energy levels and brain function, prevents illness, and aids in weight loss.  For optimal fitness and fat loss I recommend getting a minimum of 1/2 your bodyweight in ounces of water daily.

But what do you do when your water is…. well, boring?

I love to do fruit infused herb drinks (get some great recipes here) but for a quick water-pick me up on the go, I recently tried this healthy pina colada drink mix.

It’s a perfect water boredom buster AND I love that it has added probiotics.

I’m obsessed with the Pina Colada (you know my love for pineapple) and my boys like it as well.

There are lots of popular drink mixes that are loaded with sugar or other artificial ingredients.

But not these!  These mixes will enhance your liquid intake with clean and natural ingredients.

This healthy pina colada drink mix also has a powerful probiotic blend containing 5 billion CFU for metabolic restoration benefits.

This unique blend of fiber and probiotics encourages nutrient absorption, supports healthy metabolism, and aids in immunity support.

The drink mix also has 3 grams of fiber, which is perfect to help satisfy and reduce your hunger.

The fiber + probiotic combo in this healthy pina colada some great benefits:

  • Encourages healthy fat metabolism
  • Potent immune stimulator
  • Supports healthy digestion
  • 5 billion CFU probiotic blend
  • Ability to produce 12 strong antibiotics to fight opportunistic and harmful bacteria
  • Reduces hunger
  • Reduces gas and bloating

There’s no added sugar, so you get a great taste of a healthy pina colada without the junk!

They also have some more yummy flavors like: blackberry pomegranate, peach mango, strawberry kiwi, and strawberry mango… Check it out!

P.S.  Bonus Nutrition Tip:  A diet rich in healthy fibers, low in sugars and high in protein is the optimal nutrition plan for fitness and fat loss. If you want to fat burn, increase energy, increase caloric burn, increase thermogenesis (ie: when your body burns fat), increase insulin sensitivity, and balance hunger, energy and cravings, you must make your sure nutrition plan is:

  • high protein
  • high fiber
  • low sugar

I love to mix this low sugar drink mix in my water or throw it into a pineapple, coconut & kale protein shake to get the added protein boost. (Get the protein shake recipe here
