How to Use Epsom Salt for Muscle Soreness & Cramps

Whether from overwork or just an extra tough workout, muscle aches are common and are experienced by almost everyone at some point or another–even advanced athletes. Mildly sore muscles is simply a natural outcome of any kind of physical activity.

General soreness after exercise is typically caused by micro tears in the muscle.

Over time as the muscle rebuilds itself stronger to accommodate the activity, soreness should decrease.

But if you notice that you’re experiencing prolonged muscle soreness and cramps, there are other factors to consider.

A muscle cramp is a strong, painful contraction or tightening of a muscle that comes on suddenly and lasts from a few seconds to several minutes.
