Meet Beyond Baby Coach, Natalie!
Hi, I am Natalie. I am so excited to be working with Kate on the Beyond Baby program and excited to introduce myself.
I am the mom of four wonderful children. The boys are 8 and 6 and the girls are 2 and almost 4 months. I homeschool the two oldest and stay home with them all Monday through Friday. I work as a physical therapist on weekends and personal train clients in my home during the week.
I have my doctorate in physical therapy and I also have several Metabolic Effect certifications including personal training and nutrition levels 1 and 2.
I have always been physically active and competed in natural bodybuilding prior to having children. I have always loved cardio but also found a love for lifting weights after high school. My husband and I would spend a couple of hours in the gym lifting and then I would do another hour on the stairmaster afterwards.
But after I started having kids, I became more limited on time and did less of the weight lifting and more often ended up doing more cardio. The consequences of this lifestyle included hormonal imbalances which resulted in fertility issues and although I was always fit, I felt I had to do more to stay in the shape I was in.
I was introduced to the fat loss life style that Kate has based her business on by an acupuncturist that I was treated by while trying to conceive my third child.
I began to understand the hormonal aspect of body composition and why calories are not the whole story.
I also began to understand that you can out train an excellent diet by doing too much cardio. Over a time span of three years, yes I have been stubborn at times to give up my old habits, I have fully adopted this lifestyle. The biggest blessing has been that my hormones became much more balanced and I was able to conceive my fourth child without any medical intervention!
Another wonderful benefit was that I continued this style of eating and exercising during this final pregnancy and afterwards and it made it so much easier to regain my shape. Brooke is almost 4 months old now and my abdominals are still a little stretched out but all my pre-baby clothes fit (some are a little loose) and my body fat and weight are slightly less than before I became pregnant.
That’s why I am so excited to help Kate spread the word that being a mom and being in shape takes as little as 20 to 30 minutes a day.
