Peanut Butter Protein Frosty

By Blair Lindler

I am not a protein shake fiend.  I’m just not.  My past experiences with protein shakes had honestly left me disappointed and desiring something more.  Yes, I have the obligatory tub of vanilla protein powder in my kitchen.  But I’ve really never had a “to die for” protein shake.

Until now. (And for the record, Pinterest is in again for the win)

I could not deny trying a recipe described as a protein shake that tasted like a Wendy’s frosty.

(Particularly with my oversized sweet tooth)  And believe it or not, IT TASTED EXACTLY LIKE ONE!  Well, with some peanut butter mixed in (a little creative addition I made to the recipe 😉 )

SO!  If you’re living the fat loss lifestyle and craving something sweet or something like ice cream, give this one a try!

We’ve seen so many women struggle to get into bikini shape because they fall into yo-yo diet methods that make you feel like you’re starving yourself (yuck). Then when you eat something tasty, you feel bad!

No wonder so many people get discouraged when trying to lose weight!

If you’re joining us for BeyondFit’s 21 Day Bikini Challenge, you know that our mission is to teach you how to eat well and tone up… And if you’re worried about cutting out your favorite foods – don’t worry. We promise we’ll show you how to find a good balance that keeps you happy and on track! 🙂

And this peanut butter protein frosty is a just ONE example of MANY of the great recipes we have up our sleeves!

Want a ice cream for breakfast?

Make our Beyond Butter Protein Frosty and you can turn breakfast into delight and not have to feel guilty about it one bit. ( Hint: Don’t add the peanut butter and you feel like you have a legit Wendy’s Frosty in your hands…  But I personally love the combination)

Ingredients:

  • ¾ C Almond Milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1-2 T unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 T Natural Peanut Butter
  • 1-2 Packets of Stevia

Directions:

  1. Blend all ingredients together
  2. Blend ingredient mixture and ice cubes. Add ice cubes one at a time for the best and most even texture.  Add until shake is to the consistency of your choosing (I use anywhere between 10 & 15 cubes for that super thick, Frosty consistency.

WARNING: you will produce one epically delicious MEGA sized protein shake 😉

If I keep finding protein shake recipes like this one, that tub of protein powder may not last much longer… 🙂
