Life Check and Soup

Lately, I’ve become entirely too consumed with “the rules,” things I am versus things I am not allowed to eat on a fat loss lifestyle. Now granted, awareness is a great thing to have when it comes to your food, but I was guilty of becoming obsessed with my food. It became so overwhelming that eating “right” felt nothing short of impossible. Insert downward spiral, throwing hands up in the air, giving up, and resulting in making the absolute worst choices possible – fast food burgers, pizza, etc etc. Moderation had gone out the window thanks to making my food bigger than what it actually is.

Can anyone relate to feeling this way?

And then it dawned on me. I don’t have to be perfect – I just have to do the best I can. Ladies, please learn this lesson with me. Yes, we want to provide healthy, fat loss friendly, the “right” foods for our bodies and for our families. But we need to not let our food concern grow into a monster/idol and grow to be bigger than our lives.

The recipe that I’m sharing with you is NOT fat loss perfect. But let me tell you. It is SO MUCH BETTER than other options you may turn to when it comes to feeding yourself or your loved ones. It is better than the fast food and the pizza that I fed myself out of despair. And I’m coming to learn that it’s not about perfection. That I do not have to be perfect – in my food, in my physique. And that is such a breath of fresh air. Because trying to be perfect is just too much pressure!!

I hope you enjoy this easy and CHEAP recipe!

It’s one that my fiancé created and that I have been in love with (the recipe, not him – but I love him too obviously haha) since first sight. Your family will dig it, your wallet will dig it, your time will dig it (its so FAST to prep), and your taste buds will dig it.
