Looking for some Healthy Snack Ideas? Peanut Butter Protein Balls are a quick & easy option that both moms & kids will love!

Here’s the problem: I started thinking recently about how UNHEALTHY store bought protein bars are, with all of the additives, sugars, and unhealthy fats.

Solution: As a result, I decided to create my own concoction at home to try out on my Bible-study ladies for “dessert” a couple weeks ago! Nervous that this healthy and satisfying option might not be as delicious as “normal” dessert, I gave it a try…and it was awesome! I hope you find this recipe as delicious as I did! 🙂

{Healthy Snack Ideas} Peanut-Butter Protein Balls

Ingredients: (Remember you can vary the amount of each ingredient, depending on your desired texture!):

  • 1 C almond butter
  • 1 C 5 minute homemade natural peanut butter
  • 1-2 T stevia or truvia
  • Oats (can vary amount depending on your preference)
  • Unsweetened coconut to taste
  • 3 T flax seed
  • 2 T wheat germ (exclude this ingredient to choose the gluten-free option)
  • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
  • 1/2-1 C craisins (optional)

Directions: Stir all ingredients together and ENJOY!!!! I like to freeze mine and snack on them a little at a time.
