Pumpkin Pie Protein Shake

It’s pumpkin pie protein shake season!!!

(Also known as, you know, just pumpkin season–but this shake is good enough to have it’s own season–trust me!)

healthy snacks, healthy breakfast, fit moms

Ok, I might be a little too excited about pumpkin, but I just can’t help myself because…pumpkins are low in saturated fat and calories! Additionally, they provide so much fiber! And as a huge added bonus, pumpkins contain very little cholesterol or sodium!

They are also chock full of vitamins and minerals such as: Vitamin E, Vitamin B6, Folate, Iron, Magnesium, Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Potassium. Not to mention, they’re pretty darn tasty too!

Blend up this pumpkin pie protein shake after a good autumn afternoon workout or for breakfast on the run. You can use fresh or canned pumpkin puree. Be careful if you’re using canned pumpkin though. Make sure it is 100% pumpkin puree and not pumpkin pie filling (which is filled with unnecessary sugar and calories!).
