Weight Loss Supplements for Women

When it comes to the best weight loss supplements for women, the first thing you must know is that NOTHING replaces the big rocks:

  1. Training
  2. Nutrition
  3. Balanced Metabolic Hormones

 

With that said, if you have these first pieces of the puzzle in place and are still looking for some ways to reach the goal of optimal fitness and fat loss, supplements can play a role as a “small rock” in your plan.

There are 5 basic supplements (Protein, BCAAs, Omega 3, Probiotic, Multivitamin) that I recommend all women use.

Aside from the basics, here is some more info on additional high quality weight loss supplements that may be right to help you reach your goals.

Weight Loss Supplements for Women

 

Alphamine

Who is it for?

Alphamine is for women who are looking to burn fat, get leaner, or who need an extra energy boost. 

What does it do?

Alphamine is a thermogenic powder designed to help you burn fat. 

When should you take it?

On non-workout days, I recommend taking 1 scoop in the morning 30-60 minutes before eating breakfast. An additional scoop can be taken 6-8 hours later if desired. (Caution: this is a stimulate, so don’t take it too close to bedtime!)

On workout days, I recommend taking 1 scoop prior to your BeyondFit Life workout. An additional scoop can be taken 6-8 hours later if desired, but again – be sure to monitor sleep and avoid taking this supplement too close to bedtime!

Alphamine contains 125mg of caffeine per scoop. Most health professionals do not recommend taking over 400mg of caffeine per day from all combined caffeine sources, so if you’re a coffee or tea drinker, you may want to stick to decaf. 

How do you take it?

Alphamine is designed to last for 6-8 hours. Simply mix your scoop in water or a beverage of your choice. Alphamine can be used as a pre-workout supplement as well. 


Norcodrene

Who is it for?

Norcodrene is for women looking to burn fat, get leaner, or who need an extra energy boost. 

What does it do?

Much like alphamine, norcodrene serves as a thermogenic designed to burn fat. The main difference between norcodrene and alphamine is that alphamine is a powder and norcodrene comes in capsule form. 

When should you take it?

Take 1 capsule in the morning on an empty stomach and an additional 1 capsule 6-8 hours later if desired. For best results, do not eat for 45 minutes after consuming your capsule. 

How do you take it?

Do not mix norcodrene with any other supplements containing stimulants. This includes caffeine that is consumed from coffee, soda, tea and other supplements. 


Prolific

Who is it for?

Any woman looking for a pre-workout supplement that delivers pump (increased blood flow to the muscles) and vascularity with an added energy boost.

What does it do?

Prolific is a pre-workout designed to give energy to your workout while improving increased blood flow to the muscles. 

When should you take it?

On workout days, take approximately 30 minutes prior to training. 

How do you take it?

It’s recommend that women start with just one scoop of prolific to assess tolerance to the caffeine. Mix 1-2 scoops with 8-10 oz of water. It can be stirred with a spoon or shaken in a shaker cup. 


High Volume

Who is it for?

Any woman looking for a pre-workout supplement that delivers pump (increased blood flow to the muscles) and vascularity WITHOUT stimulant.

What does it do?

High volume is a caffeine-free, nitric oxide targeted pre-workout that uses multiple pathways to deliver an amazing pump to your muscles.

When should you take it?

On workout days, take approximately 30 minutes prior to training. 

How do you take it?

Mix 1-2 scoops with 8-10 oz of water. It can be stirred with a spoon or shaken in a shaker cup. 


Erase Pro+

Who is it for?

Erase Pro+ is for women who are looking for additional cortisol support. 

What does it do?

Erase Pro+ contains ashwaganda, an herb that is known for it’s cortisol supporting abilities. Cortisol is one of the most overlooked hormones by women looking to lose weight. Erase Pro+ helps to regulate the hormone cortisol. 

When should you take it?

Take 2 capsules with your breakfast daily. 

How do you take it?

Erase Pro+ should be taken every day for 4-8 weeks at a time. 


Shift

Who is it for?

Shift is for any woman looking to get leaner. 

What does it do?

Shift is a caffeine-free leaning agent that is designed to target pathways that stimulant-based products do now. This is one of the only caffeine free products that you may actually feel working. When taken on an empty stomach, it can reduce appetite and have a thermogenic effect.

When should you take it?

I always recommend a  “whole diet” approach to my female fat loss clients. Whether they’re looking to lose 5lbs or 50lbs, it’s always best to make exercise and nutrition the first priority. Generally, I’m not one to recommend many supplements.

In fact, while many trainers would have you spending $100’s on supplements each month, I prefer to keep it simple. 

You can get the same (or even BETTER) results without all that expensive pee (yes, you really do just process out a majority of unnecessary supplements through urine)…and then you can save that extra money for a new pair of skinny jeans!
