The problem with many traditional salad dressings is that- although many look healthy on the outside- when you you read the label, it’s a different story.  Most store-bough dressings are loaded with extra sugar and processed ingredients that do nothing good for your health or your waistline. 
 
That’s where the fat loss friendly freshness of homemade salad dressing recipes can’t be beat.

HEALHTY-BLUE-CHEESE-DRESSING-SM

Healthy Blue Cheese Dressing 

Subbing Greek Yogurt for fatty ingredients turns this healthy salad dressing recipe into a fat loss friendly win!  You get lots of extra protein without sacrificing the taste. It’s great served on a cobb salad like this!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Nonfat Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tbsp Natural blue cheese crumbles
  • ½ tsp Lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp Garlic salt
 

Directions:

  1. Whisk 1 cup of nonfat plain greek yogurt with the unsweetened almond milk until desired consistency.
  2. Add the remainder of the ingredients and drizzle on the salad.

Notes:

Refrigerate after serving. Serves 8.

 

HEALTHY-ITALIAN-DRESSING---SM

Healthy Italian Dressing 

 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 TBSP Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 TBSP white wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp basil 
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 2 cloves finely minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste

 

Directions:

  1. Mix ingredients in a blender and blend until oil is fully mixed.

Notes:

Use immediately, or store up to 1 week in the fridge. 


 

HEALTHY-FRENCH-DRESSING---SM

Healthy French Dressing

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 TBSP mustard
  • 1 TBSP tomato paste
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder 
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon of sugar free honey substitute
  • Stevia to taste based on sweetness 
 

Directions:

  1. Mix ingredients in a blender and blend until oil is fully mixed.
 
Notes:
 
Use immediately, or store up to 1 week in the fridge.

 

 

 

HEALTHY-RANCH-DRESSING---SM

 

Healthy Ranch Dressing

 

Ingredients:

  • ½ – ¾ cup Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 tsp (or more to taste) of dried dill weed
  • Sprinkle of salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 small clove of garlic
  • 6 TBSP olive oil
  • 2 TBSP parmesan

Directions:

  1. Put yogurt, garlic and spices in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. Very slowly, add the oil so that it mixes
  3. Use immediately, or store up to 1 week in the fridge

Notes:

Optional: Use a Ranch packet mix instead of the above seasoning.

 
The following simple + healthy vinaigrette salad dressings takes less than two minutes to make, only requires super basic ingredients (you probably already have them all in your pantry!) and are all great to throw together and store in your fridge!  
 
 
HEALTHY-DIJON-VINAGERETTE---SM
 
Healthy Dijon Vinaigrette
 

Ingredients: 

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 TBSP Dijon mustard
  • 1 TBSP lemon juice, or more to taste
  • 3 TBSP extra-virgin olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Mix ingredients in a blender and blend until oil is fully mixed.

Notes:

Use immediately, or store up to 1 week in the fridge.


STRAWBERRY-BALSAMIC---SM

Healthy Strawberry Balsamic Vinaigrette

 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 2 TBSP olive oil
  • 2 TBSP balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp  ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp dried tarragon
  • 1/4 tsp sugar free honey substitute

Directions:

  1. Mix ingredients in a blender and blend until oil is fully mixed.

Notes:

Use immediately, or store up to 1 week in the fridge.


RASPBERRY-VINAGERETTE-DRESSING---SM
