Low Carb Waffle Recipe
By Kate Horney
The nutrition choices you make at breakfast set the tone for your day. If you want to start your day off on the right foot, it’s important to fuel yourself with something high in protein. If fat burning is your goal, keeping carbs low can also be helpful.
The problem is that many of our favorite breakfast foods are often very HIGH in carbs. Think: traditional pancakes, waffles, donuts, cereal and and more.
Having a processed cereal or something low in protein and high in carbs is the worst thing you can eat at the start of the day. These traditional breakfast choices will send you on a blood sugar roller coaster causing energy drops and increased cravings.
Protein should be the #1 priority at breakfast because it helps stabilize blood sugar, increases satiety and keeps you feeling fuller for longer.
If you want a protein packed, low-carb breakfast that also happens to be delicious, try these ONE carb waffles (yes, you read that right…O-N-E carb!)
