{Recipe} BBQ Pulled Pork
We’re kicking off our Summer Sizzle series with the perfect Summer dish…
Crock Pot BBQ Pulled Pork!
My crock pot makes for easy food prep and nothing beats walking into your house after a long day at work to delicious smells coming from your kitchen!
Most of my recipes are chicken based so I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. I’ve never bought pork before (other than bacon) and shopped around for the leanest cut I could find. This recipe makes a lot and freezes very well.
Next on my list is North Carolina Vinegar BBQ so stay tuned!
Ingredients:
- · 1 15 ounce can of plain tomato sauce
- · 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- · 1 tbsp garlic powder
- · 1 tbsp onion powder
- · ¼ cup fresh local honey
- · 1 tsp ground cumin
- · 1 tsp chili powder
- · 1 tsp cinnamon
- · 2-4 lbs pork roast
Directions:
Mix all of the ingredients, expect the meat, in the slow cooker. Cook on low for 4-6 hours. Meat should easily shred with a fork. Serve over greens, rice, in a Flat Out wrap, or with a side of veggies!
