Easy Recipes for Kids: 6 Fall Favorites

The best thing about fall, besides all the changing leaves is FOOD!

Here are 6 of my fav fall KidzShake recipes that will make your kids think you are the BEST MOM EVER


 

Easy Recipes for Kids: Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal

INGREDIENTS

Serves 1-2

  • 1/2 cup of rolled oats, gf if needed
  • 1 cup of coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree
  • 2 scoops of vanilla KidzShake
  • 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of maple syrup (optional)

DIRECTIONS

Add all ingredients to a small saucepan on medium to high heat.

Bring mixture to the boil while stirring gently, and then turn heat to low and cover pot.

Simmer for 10-15 minutes, occasionally stirring.

Turn off heat and allow to sit for at least 2 minutes before serving.

Top with some toasted pumpkin seeds, nuts or coconut flakes.

 


 

Easy Recipes for Kids: Pumpkin Chia Pudding

INGREDIENTS

Serves 2

  • 4 scoops of vanilla kidzshake
  • 2 cups of water milk of choice (I like coconut milk for this recipe)
  • 1/2 cup of chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice

DIRECTIONS

Blend all ingredient except chia seeds in a blender until smooth.

Whisk in chia seeds.

Pour into glasses of bowls and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Stir mixture a few times in the first hour to ensure chia seeds are evenly spread through pudding.

This is a fabulous make ahead option.

Top with a healthy granola or coconut chips to give a nice crunch!

 


Easy Recipes for Kids: Pumpkin Pie Energy Balls

INGREDIENTS

Serves 2

  • 1.5 cups of oats, old fashioned or quick oats (more can be added if mixture is too sticky)
  • 1/2 cup of nut or seed butter
  • 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 4 scoops of vanilla kidzshake
  • 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice

DIRECTIONS

Place all ingredients in a medium bowl. Use hands to mix ingredients and form into 1″/ 2 cm balls.

Refrigerate for an hour before serving.

Can be stored in freezer for up to 6 weeks.  These are a perfect lunch box add in.

 


Easy Recipes for Kids: Apple Pie KidzShake

INGREDIENTS

Serves 2

  • 4 scoops of vanilla kidzshake
  • 1 cup of water milk of choice
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened apple sauce
  • 2 pitted dates
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of ice

DIRECTIONS

Place ingredients in a blender or for processor and blend on high until combined.

 

 


Easy Recipes for Kids: Pumpkin Super Shake

INGREDIENTS

Serves 

  • 3 scoops of Vanilla KidzShake
  • ½ cup of pumpkin puree
  • ½ medium banana
  • 3/4 cup of milk of choice (I used almond milk)
  • ¼ cup of pecans
  • 1/4 cup of oats
  • 5 cubes of ice
  • ½ teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

Blend on high for 30-60 seconds.

Garnish with pumpkin pie spice mix and enjoy fall in a shake!!

 

 


Easy Recipes for Kids: Pumpkin Pie Granola

INGREDIENTS

Serves 

  • 1.5 cups of oats, old fashioned or quick oats (more can be added if mixture is too sticky)
  • 4 scoops of vanilla kidzshake
  • 1/2 cup of nut or seed butter
  • 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 340 F/ 170 C

Place all ingredients except chocolate chips in a medium bowl. Use hands to combine ingredients.

Place the mixture on a parchment lined baking tray and cook for 20-25 minutes or until brown.  After 10 minutes of cooking stir mixture and add in chocolate chips.

Allow to cool before serving and granola can be stored for 7 days in an airtight container.  Perfect to add to the top of a smoothie or chia pudding.
